THE OGDEN EXCHANGE BUILDING
The Ogden Exchange building was built in 1930 as offices for conducting business in livestock. Public auctions of livestock took place in the stockyard and all of this came to an end in 1971. Weber County purchased the building in '68 and leased it out to the auction company. It also became a facility that was used to treat mental health until 1988 when the treatment facility was moved to a new location.
The current owner of the building purchased the building in 2004. Every October, it is used as the haunted attraction "Lazarus Maze"
There was a triple murder in 1941, 3 suicides and 1 "natural" death that all occurred in this building...
In December of 2008 UROPA had the privilege to visit the exchange building. and participate in a paranormal related experiment facillitated by the owner. It was a great opportunity to be a part of the research conducted that night and to get a chance to tour this building that was such an important part of Ogden's history.
