RICHMOND CHEESE FACTORY
UROPA, along with members of the "Shadow Crew"  was invited to investigate the 100 year old Sego cheese factory which now sits vacant in Richmond Utah. There have been a few deaths associated with the building including 3 workers that died during an earthquake in the 60's and  3 transients that died in the factory from exposure of the elements.

There have been reports of shadow people, apparitions, disembodied voices and feelings of dread. This was our 1st investigation and we had some very interesting results.
At one point, Dylan and John were headed to the room pictured above and as they were walking down the hallway, they both heard a voice. Although it could not be made out as to what it was saying, they both agreed it was a voice.

We also investigated a room on one of the upper floors that one of the transients supposedly died in. We experienced cold spots in this room that seemed to move about as well as "hits" on the K-2 meter. A Tri-field natural em meter was also reacting to "movement" in the magnetic field.

In another room on the main floor, we were all sitting around doing an evp session, trying to make contact. Dylan and John decided to move on to another area and said aloud that if no one was going to communicate with us then they were leaving. This is when Kelly hears a voice say "Stay". This EVP was captured on a video recorder as well. Listen close at about 3 seconds into clip.

The milk canning industry in Utah started in 1904 when the first milk condensing and processing plant in the state was built by the Utah Condensed Milk Company in Richmond, north of Logan. Upon completion this factory was said to be only the third, and largest, milk processing factory in the West. The new company sold its products under the name of Sego Milk. In subsequent years, the company repeatedly expanded and in 1928 sold its operations to the Pet Milk Company.  When the Pet Milk Company took over the operations of the Utah Condensed Milk Company, it retained the use of the Sego brand name for its products that were sold in the western the western United States. All of the Cache Valley milk condenseries, as the milk canning factories were called, are closed today, but the Sego brand name is still available on today's supermarket shelves along with other products of the Pet Milk Company.

A very interesting class A- EVP was captured  near the boiler room. At the time this was recorded, there were only two people in this small room. While we were in the room, I was going through my backpack to retrieve an emf meter. The person with me heard a noise and asks "what was that?" My back was turned to him at the time and I thought he was talking of the lights on the emf meter I had just turned on. He then says that the noise scared him.You can hear me say "Noise, what noise? this doesnt make any noise". Immediately after I say "What noise" you will hear something repeat me...
We believe that the Richmond Cheese Factory houses paranormal activity and would like to thank Derrick for giving us an opportunity to investigate the property.
