NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2009
UROPA had the opportunity to act as tour guides for the Ogden Union Station’s, Night at the Museum, and also to have a display and presentation at a table in the lobby. The participants on the tours were able to explore areas of the train station not generally open to the public.  They also received a history lesson and listened to stories of the ghosts that reside there.   Our team gave a total of 6 tours for the two nights and helped raise $8000 for the fundraiser!

During the tours we did EVP sessions to see if we could get any voices recorded.  We also used the EMF meters to see if there were unusual variances in the environment.  We did receive several  EVPs throughout the night, some of which are posted below.  We also noticed spikes using the EMF meter on one tour in the theater, on the stage.

On another tour, we were getting spikes in the Art Gallery and it appeared we were even getting answers to some of our questions by an entity named Ted.  In the Old Timers Ballroom, we were getting a multitude of events.  During an EVP and EMF session, Kelly and Traci heard a clang coming from the kitchen area.  They got up to investigate the kitchen and heard nothing to explain the noise, nor was there anyone in the kitchen to explain it.  We were also getting the entity, Sara, to answer questions through the EMF detector.  At one point, John used a different EMF meter to detect electromagnetic anomalies, which caused it to make noises and light up.  It lasted only a few seconds and then we were unable to locate it again.  That was the first and only time we were able to get anything using that detector during the tours, so we were not only surprised and excited but fascinated to have attained such a response.

During a tour in the basement, Traci had her hair tugged while standing in the vault.  She assumed it was something or someone behind her, but there was nothing there to explain it.

There were events not just experienced by the investigators.  In the theater on stage, while we were getting the hits using the EMF meter, we had one girl on the tour who experienced a sensation as if someone were touching or grabbing her on her wrist.  Then immediately after, the guy who was with her mentioned it getting really cold and then the girl said she felt as if she were being pulled toward the right stage area by unseen hands!

In the basement, while in one of the vaults, the group heard a loud crash or bang.  We assumed it was another tour group coming down.  But one of the visitors looked out right after the sound happened and there was nobody there!

While we couldn’t explain some of the events that happened those two nights, we did notice the fact that the scale, which is on the floor of the upper level and in the ceiling of the basement, did allow some of the voices from upstairs to filter down into the basement.  So we will have to be careful when analyzing the EVPs taken in that basement area.

We look forward to next year’s event and would like to thank the Union Station for allowing us to help out with this fundraiser.

We are still reviewing audio from these two nights and will post any evp we find on this page. If you were on the tour and believe you may have captured evp or interesting photos, send them in and we'll evaluate and post on this page with your name and any comments you may have.
